3D jewellery modelling to order
Creating the perfect piece of jewellery is more than just sketching a design. It is necessary to accurately convey the shape, proportions, stone setting and even the future play of light on the metal surface. Any inaccuracy in the 3D model can lead to defects and additional costs. That is why professional jewellery modelling is not just a stage in the process, but the foundation for a high-quality result. We transform the idea into a digital form that accurately conveys the designer's vision and is ready for production.
Every line, every curve and every facet must be calibrated to the micron. This is the only way to guarantee that the wax model will be clean, the casting mould will be accurate, and the finished jewellery will be exactly as intended. At 3D Vision, we create models that meet not only aesthetic requirements but also all technological production requirements.
You don't have to be an artist or designer – all you need is an idea. We can even create a 3D model from a photograph, sketch or description. This saves you time, eliminates errors and gives you confidence in the result. We speak the same language as you – the language of form, meaning and precision. All you need is an idea, and we'll take care of the technical side.
If you want to avoid rework, losses and unnecessary risks, entrust jewellery modelling to our specialists. We will help you turn your idea into an accurate digital model, ready for printing and subsequent casting. With us, you will receive not just a 3D file, but the confidence that the jewellery will turn out exactly as you imagined it.
Why trust
3D Vision modelling?
Modelling is the very stage where the fate of your future jewellery is decided. There is no room for approximation: a single imprecise facet, an incorrectly calculated groove for a stone or an extra thickness of metal can completely distort the intended image. At 3D Vision, we clearly understand how important the smallest nuances are. That is why we start every jewellery modelling not with software, but with a careful study of the idea. We are interested not only in form, but also in its functionality, aesthetics, wearing comfort and compliance with technological requirements.
We know how to adapt a model for foundry, wax 3D printing or realistic visualisation for a client. We take into account the loading of delicate elements, inlay placement, wall thickness, outlets and other nuances that are important in real production. All this makes not just jewellery modelling, but technologically competent, well-thought-out work, ready for implementation. What you get by turning to 3D Vision:
- micron precision in the creation of all elements, including locks and landing places;
- modelling in professional CAD programs;
- file transfer in the required formats, such as STL, 3FM, OBJ and others;
- flexible approach to sources – we work from photos, drawings, references or even text descriptions;
- quick execution;
- the ability to make changes.
We don't just build a mould – we get into the essence of the product. When you bring us a sketch, we start asking questions: where the jewellery will be worn, how massive it is, what metal is used, how the casting will take place, what tools and techniques will be used. We think not only about geometry, but also about practicality, to avoid surprises when moving from the virtual image to the physical form.
It is thanks to this careful approach that jewellery modelling in the 3D Vision studio becomes not just a technical service, but a solid foundation for the future product. We treat each project with the same responsibility as if we were creating a piece of jewellery for our loved ones. That's why we are chosen by those who are looking for not just a model, but a high-quality and confident result that can really be trusted.
FAQ
1. What do I need to order a 3D model – is a sketch or photo enough?
Yes, it is quite enough. We can create a model from a drawing, photo, 3D reference or even a verbal description. The more detailed the source materials are, the more accurate and faster the result will be. Particularly useful are clarifications on dimensions, number of stones, type of mounting and desired style of the product.
2. What programmes do you use and what file format do you provide?
We use professional CAD programmes such as Rhino, ZBrush, Matrix, JewelCAD and others – the choice depends on the type of project. We provide final files in STL, 3MF, OBJ and other formats – we choose the format depending on what we need the model for: printing, casting or visualisation.
3. How long does it take to create a model from scratch?
Usually the process takes from 1 to 3 working days. It all depends on the complexity of the design, the number of elements, the fit of the stones and the need for edits. For simple models, the time can be even shorter – especially if you already have a sketch and a clear specification.
4. Can edits be made after the initial rendering?
Yes, of course. We make sure to send you a preliminary render of the model for approval. If you want to change the shape, proportions or add elements, we will make changes before the final approval so that you are fully satisfied with the result.
5. Is the model ready for printing or casting?
Yes. By default, we prepare the model with all the requirements for 3D wax printing or casting: with the necessary gaps, technical parameters and outlets. If you need a model only for rendering or presentation, it is enough to inform us in advance and we will take it into account during preparation.
